Bob Polit is an intellectual property attorney having more than twenty-seven years of experience. He has considerable expertise in representing clients in various technical areas including AI, computer architecture, cybersecurity, digital filters, electronic circuits, embedded systems, IoT, memory technology, network architecture, power systems, real-time software, semiconductor devices and manufacturing technology, software operating systems (including microkernel OS designs), speech recognition and enhancement systems, web-based systems, and wireless devices and systems.
Bob attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Honors College and was designated a James Scholar. Upon graduation, Bob worked as a systems engineer developing electronic countermeasures for the F-15 jet fighter.
Bob attended the John Marshall Law School in the evening while continuing to work as an engineer during the day. He graduated magna cum laude and was given the West Publishing Award.
Bob has been a partner at a number of large intellectual property firms, where he gained substantial experience in patent litigation, patent prosecution and counseling, and all aspects of practice before the USPTO. He now focuses on representing corporations in intellectual property matters in high-tech industries.
